Data-Driven Decision Making
Gesu has traditionally used the results of the IOWA testing to help pinpoint strengths and weaknesses in our
curriculum and in determining students’ various aptitudes. Due in large part to the recent rigorous training of
our administrators by The Skillman Foundation and the Archdiocese of Detroit, Gesu School is more effectively

School Culture
The fact that we are a faith based school gives us unique opportunities to discuss and learn about moral and
ethical issues with our students throughout our curriculum and day. Our religion curriculum at all levels is

Professional Community
Not only are all our teachers very dedicated and capable professionals, they are all highly qualified in accordance
with the No Child Left Behind legislation. Our teacher attendance rates are extremely high. In 2004-05, our

School, Family and Community Partnerships
Gesu School is blessed with a tremendous commitment from parents and families. Our attendance rate at
parent-teacher conferences is around 90% each fall. We had 100% family attendance at our annual High
School Night this year. The cost of tuition alone is a huge commitment for most of our families and many
